As the Detachment Commander of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, I would like to thank the Dufferin OPP Police Service Boards for providing this platform for the Dufferin Detachment to share information on community safety and crime prevention. An informed public working together with the police provides the best opportunity to ensure that our community stays safe and secure. In reviewing past trends and speaking with the community, Dufferin OPP has identified that there are three main areas the police need to focus on: Traffic Issues, Thefts and Mischief to Property and Visibility. These are areas that the Dufferin Detachment is working on every day.
